Job Summary
- Manages procurement of OEM and aftermarket parts for trucks and trailers focusing on brands like HOWO FAW and CIMC.
- Sources and verifies technical components such as tires batteries lubricants and filters based on maintenance needs.
- Builds and maintains relationships with reliable local and regional suppliers ensuring competitive pricing and terms.
- Coordinates with workshop and fleet teams to forecast spare part requirements and reduce vehicle downtime.
- Handles urgent procurement and delivery of parts for breakdowns including after-hours and roadside support.
- Tracks and manages procurement processes using ERP systems and Excel maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Ensures stock availability of critical spares and consumables for routine and emergency maintenance schedules.
- Oversees quality and regulatory compliance for all procured goods including import documentation and standards.
- Monitors tire and lubricant usage ensuring compatibility with vehicle specifications and safe performance.
- Provides technical support on part alternatives and cost-effective solutions to support efficient fleet operations.
- Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Procurement Logistics or
- related field.
- 5 years of hands-on experience in spare parts procurement for heavy commercial
- vehicles including Chinese brands (HOWO FAW CIMC).
- Strong knowledge of local Tanzanian parts markets tire suppliers and lubricant dealers.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel.
- Solid understanding of transport regulations and fleet maintenance cycles.

Required Skills:
Bachelors degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Automotive Engineering or related field Minimum 3-5 years of workshop or fleet maintenance experience Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle maintenance and workshop operations Experience managing commercial fleet maintenance within the logistics industry Good understanding of preventive maintenance systems and fault diagnosis Experience in maintenance budgeting and cost control Strong leadership communication and team management skills Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment High level of professionalism accountability and problem-solving ability Experience using workshop management or maintenance systems is an advantage
