The Role
Maple Bloom International School is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic ESL Secondary Teacher to join its growing Secondary School team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who can support students in developing confidence and fluency in English within an international learning environment.
The successful candidate will work with secondary-aged students to develop their English language skills across reading writing speaking and listening while supporting wider academic achievement across the curriculum.
The role would suit a teacher who is energetic patient and committed to helping students thrive within a diverse and multicultural school community.
Experience teaching English as a Second Language within international schools or British curriculum environments would be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English as a Second Language across Secondary age ranges
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that support language acquisition and student confidence
- Support students in developing reading writing speaking and listening skills
- Monitor and assess student progress and provide appropriate feedback and support
- Create a positive inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support students across the curriculum
- Maintain high standards of teaching learning and student wellbeing
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school community
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will ideally possess:
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Degree in English Education TESOL Linguistics or related field
- Previous experience teaching ESL or EAL within Secondary education
- Experience within an international or British curriculum school desirable
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to support students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds
- A collaborative and flexible approach suited to a growing international school environment
- Passion for language learning and student development
