ME Design Director

We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven candidate qualified for the position of SeniorDirector Common Services to manage the market leading Switching Network Hardware DesignGroup. The successful candidate will lead a design and development group and will be responsible for engineering assignments related to hardware products as well as systems including developmentof new products updates to existing products or sustaining current products. The candidate will be working closely with Product Marketing Procurement and Software teams to drive product definitions. Duties will include research evaluation development and application of new processes as well as methods in development of new or sustaining products. The candidate will be responsiblefor establishing and conducting testing routines developing or executing project plans budgetsschedules and documentation of work and test results. The candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of hardware and all aspects of hardware development. Selects develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the group. Strong knowledge and application of engineering concepts
Able to manage engineering experts in mechanical thermal EMC and CAD
In-depth knowledge of industry standards Safety and quality standards
Work with suppliers and partners to manage design validation qualification andfabrication of complex hardware platforms.
Strong ability to lead motivate and direct a workgroup
Strong communication skills
Proficiency in hardware systems environments and detail oriented

15 years of experience in HW Product Development in the fields such as Mechanical design thermal design etc
Requires 4 years managerial/leadership experience
Highly self-motivated with a strong multidisciplinary background.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Successful track record bringing products to market.

15 years or above working experience

Bachelor degree or above in Engineering
