We are looking for an experienced Visual Inspection Subject Matter Expert (SME) who can hit the ground running from day one to join our team onsite in Visp for 5 days a week over a 6-month duration with a possibility of extension.
In this critical role your mission is to ensure that the visual inspection of parenteral medicinal products is performed in a regulatory-compliant robust and efficient manner and continuously improved. You will act as the true owner of VI processes to drive deviation and trend analyses standardize workflows and increase inspection robustness. By joining us you will play a key role in inspecting CAPAs deviations and batch releases while also ensuring we remain compliant with internal quality regulations.

Your responsibilities will include
- Acting as the owner of VI processes driving deviation and trend analyses standardizing workflows and increasing inspection robustness.
- Driving capacity building through the training of operators as well as the creation and maintenance of testsets and defect libraries.
- Handling document management deviation and change management.
- Supporting New Product Introductions (NPI).
- Acting as the deputy to release preparation of batches.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with:
- Degree in technical sciences (e.g. Pharmacy Chemistry Biotechnology Medical Technology Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in a GMP environment (EU GMP Annex 1 Data Integrity GDocP health authority inspections) ideally in sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing visual inspection (manual and/or automated) Quality Assurance or MSAT.
- Methodological expertise in root cause analysis CAPA risk assessments (FMEA) and statistics/SPC; experience with Minitab/JMP is required.
- System knowledge: MES/ERP (e.g. SAP/BC) eQMS (Deviations/CR/CAPA) and VI systems (lighting/optical technology).
- Excellent German and English language skills (spoken & written).
- Knowledge of container/closure systems (vials RTU cartridges/syringes stoppers crimp caps) material-induced artefacts packaging materials and aseptic processing.
- Analytical data-driven mindset and strong problem solving skills under time pressure.
- Strong communication and moderation skills capable of bridging the shopfloor to management.
- Ownership mentality structured working style and high results orientation.
