Overview
A private household based on the right bank of Geneva is seeking a skilled and experienced Versatile Housekeeper / Cook to oversee and actively contribute to the smooth running of the home. This live-out position combines high-standard housekeeping with simple meal preparation and calls for a strong service mindset excellent organisational skills and a high degree of flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Household Management:

• Hands-on responsibility for the overall upkeep and presentation of the residence to an impeccable standard

• Structuring organising and maintaining the household to a consistently high level

• Welcoming guests and ensuring a polished warm and hospitable environment

• Occasionally running errands for the household (e.g. dropping off/picking up dry cleaning small purchases or other day-to-day tasks as needed)

Laundry & Wardrobe Management:

• Full laundry care and wardrobe management from A to Z including sorting washing drying ironing folding hand-finishing arranging specialist dry cleaning when required and the careful putting away of garments

• Expert handling of high-end and delicate garments including luxury fabrics and couture pieces

• Ensuring all garments are cared for and presented to an exceptional standard with professional know-how comparable to 5-star hotel standards

Cooking Duties:

• Grocery shopping and household provisioning

• Preparation of simple healthy lunches

• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in a similar senior housekeeping housekeeper/cook or comparable role within a private household or luxury hospitality environment

• Excellent knowledge of luxury laundry care and wardrobe management with confidence handling delicate and high-value garments to an exceptional standard

• Fully autonomous with the ability to take ownership of daily responsibilities and work independently

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks intelligently depending on whether the family is in residence or away

• Discreet structured and service-oriented with a polished and professional approach

• Highly flexible reliable and proactive with the ability to adapt to changing household needs and varying weekly workloads

• Naturally warm hospitable and attentive to detail

Requirements

• Good command of English (minimum B2 preferably C1) French at B2 level will be a plus

• Valid drivers licence

• Commitment to a long-term position

Additional Information
The position is based on an average of 30 hours per week; however a high degree of flexibility is essential as some weeks may require up to approximately 40 hours while others may be lighter at around 20 hours depending on the familys needs and presence.

This position is best suited to a senior hands-on professional seeking a long-term role within a refined private household where trust autonomy and exceptionally high standards are key.
