As part of Pharma Internationals Commercialization Operating Model Effectiveness Team (COMET) this role will drive operational and commercial excellence by shaping and evolving Roches operating model to meet future challenges and opportunities. The Strategic Operating Model Partner will serve as a seasoned expert blending deep industry knowledge with advanced consulting skills to deliver measurable business outcomes and accelerate progress in delivering medical solutions to patients worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Acumen

• Industry Expertise: Apply an expert-level understanding of the pharmaceutical industry including growth drivers priority assets regulatory landscapes and competitive dynamics.
• Trusted Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders bringing nuanced insights and strategic perspectives that align with Roches commercial priorities.

Customer Engagement Continuous Improvement

• Model Optimization: Evaluate and optimize existing customer engagement models to maximize operational efficiency and customer impact.
• Pragmatic Innovation: Foster an environment of continuous learning and innovation by scaling proven commercial tactics facilitating cross-border learning and accelerating future omnichannel capabilities across the ecosystem.

Operating Model Mastery & Systemic Design

• Strategic Change Execution: Architect strategies to optimize operating model effectiveness and execute complex organizational changes balancing long-term vision with immediate business needs.
• Systemic Connectivity: Act as a systemic thinker to identify patterns and interdependencies across global teams markets and regions ensuring strategic initiatives scale to deliver measurable agile business outcomes.
• Global-to-Local Bridge: Serve as a pragmatic bridge between global strategy and frontline implementation ensuring operating model adjustments reduce local operational friction and leverage existing regional successes.

Executive Influence & Leadership Engagement

• Strategic Thought Partnership: Serve as a respected thought partner and coach to senior leaders bringing rigor to strategic discussions and constructively challenging decisions with evidence-based recommendations.

Consulting Excellence & Stakeholder Governance

• Problem Solving & Execution: Apply advanced consulting methodologies and project management capabilities to structure and solve complex multi-faceted problems with rigor and precision.
• Framework & Alignment Design: Design robust decision-making frameworks and build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholders to streamline governance and sustain momentum for change.

Qualifications and Experience required

Required Background:

• Minimum of 10 years of consulting experience in one of the top-tier consulting firms with a proven track record of operating model design and implementation in global organisations at senior level.
• Worked in or with the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• Recognized for solving complex multi-faceted business challenges with clarity and precision.

Skills and Competencies:

Strategic Business Acumen

• Pharma Industry Expertise: Deep expert-level understanding of pharmaceutical industry dynamics market drivers and their implications for commercial and operational strategy.
• Data-Driven Focus: Strong business acumen rooted in data-driven decision-making to effectively evaluate growth drivers and prioritize assets.

Customer Engagement Expertise

• Commercial Model Insight: Developed and implemented customer engagement strategies (e.g. Omnichannel frameworks Digital Customer Experience) working with senior stakeholders with a passion for serving Healthcare Professional (HCP) and patient needs.
• Pragmatic Optimization: Ability to review existing commercial setups to maximize operational efficiency eliminate execution friction scale proven local tactics and accelerate future innovations.
