Specialist MES Engineer

Duration: 1 Year

Description: The Biotech facility at our Schachen site is a state-of-the-art facility that enables and advances our best work. By integrating leading-edge technology with a dynamic activity-based workspace the facility will support seamless connection and collaboration within and across teams and functions. We are currently seeking an MES Engineer (m/f/d) who will support the implementation configuration and maintenance of MES (PAS-X) solutions contribute to developing and maintaining GMBR recipes and design standards and provide hands-on technical support to manufacturing operations. You will support simplification standardization and continuous improvement of implemented MES solutions working under the guidance of senior team members and the Process Automation MES Lead.

Bring energy knowledge innovation to carry out the following:
Inspire Diversity and Inclusion building effective working relationships within a cross-functional team across different cultures and backgrounds.
Configure build and maintain MES (PAS-X) GMBRs and recipes
Execute test verify and document activities in support of GMBR releases and system changes.
Provide day-to-day MES (PAS-X) support to manufacturing operations including troubleshooting of recipe execution and electronic batch record (EBR) issues.
Support investigations and deviations by helping identify and resolve MES and automation-related problems.
Prepare and execute Change Controls under guidance
Support the integration of PAS-X with the site automation layer (e.g. DeltaV Level 2 batch integration) and with SAP (COMET/iMES) under the direction of senior engineers.
Contribute to continuous improvement of business process flows and technical MES workflows.
Support the development and updating of automation SOPs training packages and delivery of MES trainings to end users.
Ensure all documentation is compliant with SDLC requirements.
Support Tech Transfer of process technologies from a MES-perspective.

To excel in this role you will more than likely have the following skills:
Bachelors degree in Life Science discipline or equivalent practical experience of at least 2-3 years of experience in MES area: PAS-X system experience is a strong advantage.
At least 2 years of experience in Automation or similar within a GMP-regulated environment.
Working knowledge of computer validation/SDLC requirements and change control procedures (e.g. GAMP 5).
Hands-on experience in MES GMBR configuration testing and execution support PAS-X system experience is an advantage.
Awareness of MES integration concepts including MES-to-automation (e.g. DeltaV) and MES-to-SAP interfaces is an advantage.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and to know when to escalate for resolution.
Effective oral / written communication skills in English (B2/C1).
Exposure to commissioning and validation test protocol execution (e.g. Kneat eVal) is an advantage.
