Software Engineer – Embedded Security

You want to help build the Western resilience and protect people and critical infrastructure. At CDDS youll help secure the software behind our next-generation interceptor drones.

Were looking for a hands-on software engineer who understands embedded security and US security requirements. Youll complement our existing cloud security expertise by implementing security on our devices and supporting compliance documentation from a technical perspective.

• Write and maintain software that secures our embedded Linux devices and ground systems.

• Implement secure provisioning authentication key management and software updates.

• Translate security requirements into practical technical solutions alongside our security and compliance lead.

• Identify vulnerabilities implement fixes and verify that security measures work on real hardware.

• Support compliance work with technical documentation and evidence of implemented controls.

• Strong software development skills in Python and/or C.

• Experience securing embedded Linux systems.

• Practical knowledge of encryption secure boot access control and device security.

• Ability to balance security requirements with performance reliability and operational needs.

• experience for hardware backed key storage like TPMs

• Experience supporting security compliance or assessments.

• Familiarity with US cybersecurity requirements relevant to defense suppliers.

• CCP certification.

• Experience with NVIDIA Jetson or similar embedded platforms.

• Experience with yocto

• Experience with embedded penetration testing

• NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC familiarity
