The Senior QC Specialist works in the area of bioanalytics supporting the laboratory team with in-depth knowledge to ensure efficient performance of laboratory activities and related investigations in compliance with GxP and HSE guidelines. Performs review and approval of analytical data.
Job Description
We offer a fixed-term contract of 18 months.
Major Accountabilities:
- Plan coordinate and support sampling activities including execution documentation and alignment with project and routine laboratory needs.
- Review evaluate and approve analytical test results for release stability and project-related activities in accordance with applicable procedures.
- Prepare review and approve analytical protocols reports trend analyses KPIs/KQIs and registration-related documentation.
- Lead or contribute to analytical project activities including method implementation analytical transfers new product introduction and routine laboratory readiness.
- Serve as Single Point of Contact or Subject Matter Expert for assigned products pipeline activities external initiatives audits inspections and technical assessments.
- Manage deviations OOx investigations CAPA definition analytical weak points and continuous improvement actions to ensure robust laboratory performance.
- Contribute to supplier qualification service provider management contracts SLAs SOWs QAAs budgeting activities and cross-functional governance meetings.
- Ensure all activities comply with cGxP data integrity Quality and HSE requirements including equipment maintenance calibration planning training risk identification and safe working practices.
Obligatory Requirements:
- Technical education with 35 years of relevant experience or a university degree in Pharmacy Chemistry or a related scientific discipline with 04 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry active substance manufacturing or analytical laboratories within a GMP-regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Control testing sampling laboratory equipment GxP standards data integrity and quality decision-making processes.
- Experience supporting analytical release stability testing method transfers deviations CAPAs trend analysis and project documentation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functions departments external partners and project teams.
- Strong communication skills with good written and spoken English and fluency in the local language.
- Proficiency in MS Office and standard IT systems used in Quality laboratory and documentation activities.
- Demonstrated competencies in collaboration result orientation analytical problem-solving resilience operational excellence continuous learning and digital awareness.

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role:85400 - 158600 CHF.
The salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives such as relevant skills competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.
In addition to your base salary you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters. Further details will be provided during the application process.
