Senior Data Engineer

Join our Data Products Team to build and shape the future of our enterprise data platform and data governance capabilities. As a Senior Data Engineer you will combine deep technical expertise with leadership and stakeholder engagement to deliver scalable data solutions that drive business value. You will play a key role in establishing data governance practices mentoring colleagues and guiding business stakeholders towards effective data-driven decision-making.

Job Description

• Design and optimise scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Snowflake ensuring reliable high-quality data for analytics and business reporting.
• Take a leading technical role in advancing our data governance capabilities promoting best practices for data quality or master data management.
• Collaborate with data architects product managers analysts and business stakeholders to deliver sustainable data solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Coach and support business users and data owners in adopting data governance principles and leveraging enterprise data effectively.
• Mentor fellow data engineers foster technical excellence and drive continuous improvement across data platforms processes and standards.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field with 5 years of experience in data engineering ETL/ELT development data modelling and modern data platforms.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python with the ability to design scalable maintainable and high-performing data solutions.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake DBT and Azure combined with a solid understanding of data warehousing and cloud architectures.
• Strong knowledge of data governance data quality management and enterprise data management practices.
• Excellent communication stakeholder management coaching and mentoring skills with fluent English; German is an advantage.
