SAP Basis Specialist - Full Remote - Contract & Freelance

Full Remote with occasional travel to Zurich (Kick off occasional on-site meetings).

On behalf of one of our clients a major player in its sector we are looking for an SAP Basis Specialist.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the technical owner of SAP systems ensuring compliance with SLAs regarding availability performance and backup/restore
  
• Maintain multi-landscape environments through system refreshes SAP/Database upgrades and support package campaigns
  
• Be part of the SAP technical team including release management and Focused Build technical support
  
• Research and propose Basis solutions (performance monitoring tuning system configuration)
  
• Serve as the point of contact for all Basis-related matters and coordinate with other IT Tech Leads
  

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis technical administration (on-premise and cloud environments)
  
• Expertise in SAP system administration: configuration installation upgrades certificate management patching
  
• Solid knowledge of SAP S/4HANA (architecture technical requirements best practices)
  
• Familiarity with change management frameworks (CHARM Focused Build)
  
• Strong understanding of SAP security principles (roles profiles authorizations)
  
• Experience in performance monitoring/tuning ideally via Cloud ALM (Solution Manager a plus)
  
• Knowledge of SAP backup and disaster recovery methods
  
• Fluent English; German is a plus
