About the Epitope Surface Display Research Associate

We are seeking a motivated Epitope Surface Display Research Associate to join our dynamic research team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in molecular biology and protein engineering with hands-on experience in epitope surface display technology (e.g. yeast phage). This role involves designing developing and optimizing surface display libraries for the purpose of protein engineering screening for high-affinity ligands and developing novel biotherapeutics.

Tasks
  • Design and construct surface display libraries (e.g. phage yeast) using molecular biology techniques.
  • Develop and optimize protocols for the display of proteins on the surface of cells.
  • Screen and select high-affinity binders from epitope display libraries using flow cytometry and other relevant techniques.
  • Prepare the NGS library and analyze the sequencing data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to apply epitope surface display technology for antibody engineering protein evolution and other applications.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data maintaining detailed records of experiments and outcomes.
  • Support scientists with electronic lab notebook registration and maintenance of lab supplies and equipment.
  • Prepare technical reports summaries protocols and quantitative analyses.
  • Present findings to team members and contribute to scientific discussions within the group.
Requirements
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Immunology Molecular Biology Biochemistry Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with surface display technology and protein engineering.
  • Familiarity with molecular biology techniques such as PCR cloning and vector construction.
  • Experience with flow cytometry for screening and selection from display libraries.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
