Could you be the full-time Product Manager Traction (f/m/d) 80% - 100% in Zurich were looking for

140 years of Swiss railway history meet modern solutions for green mobility in Zurich. With 300 colleagues our Zurich site serves as a global competence center for high-performance traction technology and a development hub for locomotives bogies mechanical and electrical systems as well as services for the local and global markets. Our corporate functions play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the performance of our sites. Youll report to Manuel SAUTER - Site Project Engineering Manager in Zürich - CH and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

Your future role

Youll contribute to shaping the future of high-performance traction technology while driving innovation in green mobility.

Day-to-day youll work closely with teams across the business (engineering research and development and project management) manage product standardization and roadmaps and much more.

Youll specifically take care of creating concepts and solutions for traction converters and power modules but also lead strategic product development initiatives.

Well look to you for:

  • Concept and solution creation for traction converters and power modules

  • Product responsibility for traction converters/power modules in railway vehicles

  • Product standardization roadmaps costing obsolescence management and life cycle cost

  • Key interface and coordination for research and development activities

  • Support tenders in terms of product selection and other relevant information

  • Drive innovation and entrepreneurial thinking within the team

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in mechanical or electrical engineering

  • 5 years of experience with converters or other electrical equipment

  • Product management experience is highly desired

  • Experience in product costing

  • Strong cross-functional and transversal problem-solving skills

  • Independent and strong self-management skills

  • Innovative and entrepreneurial mindset

  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • Fluent English skills; German and French skills are a plus
