Are you ready to elevate the patient voice in oncology and turn real-world insights into decisions that improve education access and standards of care across Switzerland As Patient Affairs Lead Oncology you will define how patient perspectives shape our strategy from established indications to upcoming launches working at the intersection of patient advocacy policy dialogue and cross-functional delivery.

Based in Baar (Zug) this position is available at either 80% or 100% FTE and reports to the Corporate Affairs this role you will develop and deliver our patient engagement and advocacy strategy with a focus on oncology. Building trusted partnerships with patient advocacy groups and patient experts will be central to your work alongside translating patient perspectives into insights that strengthen our approach and supporting healthcare discussions on education access identification and standards of care in Switzerland.

Accountabilities:

  • Patient Affairs Strategy: Design and deliver a focused strategy across the oncology portfolio ensuring patient insights guide priorities from todays brands to future launches.
  • Partnership Building: Build and sustain trusted independent relationships with Swiss patient advocacy groups patient experts and alliances to co-create solutions that stand up to scrutiny.
  • Insight Generation: Translate patient experience burden of disease and unmet need into actionable insights that shape education patient journeys launch readiness and access discussions.
  • Policy Support: Identify where an independent patient voice can strengthen debates on national health priorities screening early detection and equitable access to innovation.
  • Capability Building: Strengthen patient advocacy groups through training networking and best-practice exchange while safeguarding their independence and credibility.
  • Operating Cadence and Measurement: Own the operating rhythm define clear metrics and report outcomes that demonstrate impact and inform continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Guidance: Advise colleagues on purposeful compliant and non-promotional patient and PAG engagement to embed best practice across teams.
  • Compliance Leadership: Ensure all engagements align with internal policies industry codes and applicable Swiss regulations modelling disciplined judgment and accountability.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Education: Degree in health sciences life sciences public health communications political science or a related field.

  • Background: Significant experience (Min of 5y) in patient advocacy corporate/public affairs medical affairs market access health policy or a similar healthcare-facing role. Hands-on experience working with patient organisations and patient representatives in Switzerland is essential with existing Swiss patient or policy network is a distinct advantage.

Good understanding of the Swiss healthcare landscape and relevant regulations.

Experience in oncology or another specialty-care area is valuable.

  • Skills: Ability to build trusted external partnerships work effectively across functions influence without authority and balance strategic thinking with execution. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with a clear understanding of compliant patient-centred collaboration. You regularly use approved AI tools to draft explore analyse and improve.

  • Languages: Fluent English for effective communication in an international environment. Fluent German (including Swiss German comprehension) or French with good working knowledge of the other language.
