About the job:
Main Objective (Job Purpose):
Act as a key link between the Markets Department and Relationship Managers (RMs) by providing ongoing high-quality investment advice and support to clients. Assist RMs in the preparation of ad hoc investment proposals asset allocation decisions risk analysis and overall portfolio monitoring.
Functions (duties and responsibilities):
- Monitor client portfolios including : deviations from model portfolios alignment with Strategic and Tactical Asset Allocation risk limit breaches performance analysis (individual and by risk profile) and compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Develop ad hoc investment ideas and market alerts identify target clients and/or positions and stablish commercial campaigns.
- Maintain direct contact with clients to assess portfolio evolution market positioning and investment opportunities.
- Accompany RMs on client visits when required including key clients and prospects.
- Maintain continuous interaction with BBVA Markets and BBVA Global Wealth teams to ensure alignment with the banks market views (both long-term and short-term).
- Prepare tailored investment proposals for clients and prospects based on their risk profile and prevailing market conditions.
- Produce regular summaries of macroeconomic developments and key market trends.
- Use Bloomberg / LSEG platforms to source investment ideas analyze securities and respond to client needs (e.g. bond screening pricing research).
- Provide team coverage when required (backup responsibilities).
- Ensure alignment with the Banks digitalization strategy.
- Analyze advisory portfolios in terms of performance asset allocation and concentration risk.
- Implement BBVA advisory strategies in line with applicable local and cross-border regulations.
Your Profile:
- Masters degree in Finance Banking Economics or equivalent. EFPA CFA CAIA or similar certifications are a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present investment ideas clearly to clients and prospects.
- Solid knowledge of financial markets investment products asset allocation frameworks and risk profiling.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills combined with a client-oriented mindset and attention to quality.
- Highly motivated proactive well-organized and quick to learn with excellent time management skills.
- Reliable team player with a strong sense of responsibility and adaptability.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Private Banking Portfolio Management Investment Advisory or similar roles.
- Proven experience in portfolio construction risk management asset allocation security selection and fund analysis is highly valued.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel PowerPoint; knowledge of Access is a plus).
- Fluency in Spanish and English is required; additional languages are an advantage.
