Job Summary

About MESH

MESH is automating rebar fabrication and construction processes using robotics and software. Our mission is to bring modern robotics and industrial-grade automation to one of the most fragmented and under-invested industries enabling faster safer and more precise construction through systems that integrate seamlessly into existing workflows.

We design and deploy robotic solutions that operate in harsh real-world production environments not labs or demos. Our work spans mechanical systems robotics software and industrial automation with a strong focus on robustness simplicity and deployability.

MESH is based in Switzerland with in-house workshops and robot testing facilities. We work closely with partners across the construction and machinery ecosystem and regularly test our systems in production and on-site environments. We value close collaboration and hands-on engineering and primarily work on-site with our hardware.

About the Role

We are looking for highly motivated interns to join our engineering team. Youll be exposed to real-world engineering challenges from day one working directly on features and developments that translate into our products not side projects or simulations. Depending on your background and interests your work can lean more mechanical more automation/controls or more robotics.

Youll work closely with our engineers in our workshop and testing facilities seeing your designs and code go from concept to deployment on real machines operating in demanding production environments.

Tasks

What You Could Work On

  • Designing and iterating on mechanical components and subsystems for robotic machines
  • Building and testing electro-mechanical assemblies and fixtures
  • Developing and tuning automation/control logic (PLC motion control sensors actuators)
  • Supporting robotics integration kinematics end-effectors perception or motion planning
  • Debugging and improving system robustness based on real-world testing and field data
  • Contributing to test rigs prototypes and documentation for our production systems
Requirements

What Were Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering Mechatronics Automation Robotics or a related field
  • Strong hands-on instinct comfortable in a workshop prototyping and iterating quickly
  • Solid fundamentals in mechanical design (CAD) and/or controls and/or robotics depending on focus area
  • Practical pragmatic problem-solving mindset you like building things that actually work outside the lab
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a small fast-moving team
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus
  • Available to work on-site in Switzerland

What We Offer

  • Ownership of features and developments that interface with out existing products
  • Hands-on experience with robotics and automation systems in real production and on-site environments
  • Close collaboration with experienced engineers across mechanical robotics and software disciplines
  • Access to our in-house workshops and robot testing facilities
  • A front-row seat to building industrial-grade automation for an industry that badly needs it
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Switzerland or be eligible to obtain the required Swiss work authorization without employer-sponsored visa support.
