Job Summary

Heritage Staffing is seeking a diligent and experienced Handyman / Grounds Person on behalf of a distinguished private family in Switzerland. This role is responsible for maintaining the exterior grounds and property to the highest standards of presentation and upkeep. The successful candidate will work as part of a professional household team ensuring the estate is kept in exemplary condition at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of all outdoor areas including gardens pathways driveways the garage and terraces ensuring they are kept in excellent order throughout the year.

  • Carrying out general groundskeeping tasks including regular lawn mowing and the removal of weeds and unwanted vegetation.

  • Keeping all exterior areas clean tidy and presentable at all times including the cleaning of gates metal plaques doors and other exterior fixtures.

  • Monitoring the property on an ongoing basis and promptly reporting any maintenance issues structural concerns or safety hazards to the relevant household principals or manager.

  • Assisting with general handyman tasks as required attending to minor repairs and day-to-day maintenance needs across the property.

  • Ensuring all tools equipment and storage areas are properly maintained organised and kept in good working condition.

  • Washing and maintaining the cleanliness of the household vehicles on a regular basis.

  • Supporting and coordinating with external contractors and service providers when works are carried out on the property.

Candidate Profile

  • Fluent in both French and English with a minimum B2 level of proficiency in each language ensuring seamless communication within a multilingual household environment.

  • Holder of a full valid driving licence with the ability to operate estate vehicles as required.

  • A minimum of five years of hands-on experience within prestigious private residences luxury estates or comparable high-calibre domestic settings.

  • Proven ability to uphold the highest standards of discretion presentation and service in keeping with the expectations of a distinguished private household.

  • A meticulous self-motivated individual who takes genuine pride in the care and maintenance of exceptional properties and their surroundings.
