Job Summary
This role will support MET Groups corporate strategy evaluate organic and inorganic growth opportunities as well as shape and manage various business development initiatives.
Essential responsibilities
- Provide a clear view on renewables and conventional energy market trends based on economic regulatory technology and supply chain information to enable informed strategy and business decisions
- Lead and facilitate multiple large strategic initiatives in cooperation with the executives of the Renewable and Asset Segment
- Pro-actively propose and design identified operational excellence and strategic initiatives build project teams and support shaping MET Groups strategic agenda
- Evaluate the strategic consistency of the Renewable and Asset Segments business as well as due diligence organic and inorganic M&A/ project opportunities
- Monitor competitor developments and benchmarks as well as market developments across all business areas to assess their long-term impact
- Originate and evaluate business/ investment opportunities in innovative low-carbon fuel sources and technologies
- Project manage pan-European and global business development/ building initiatives
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in finance law or business administration from a tier1 university (CFA and/or MBA a plus)
- 4-5 years experience in developing energy assets from investment banking private equity/debt and/or M&A
- In-depth expertise in the European energy market
- Ability to summarize complex topics and extract decision options
- Excellent project management and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated solid work ethic and ability to work in a close-knit team
- Creative and open-minded with an ability to link theoretical scenarios into concrete action plans/practice
- Fluent English other European languages a plus
