Job Summary
Main Responsibilities
Guest Service & Operations
Assist in monitoring daily Front Office operations including check-ins check-outs reservations and guest inquiries.
Ensure a seamless and personalized guest experience from arrival to departure.
Handle guest complaints and resolve issues professionally.
Manage guest communication and feedback across various platforms.
Supervise and support the Front Office team (reception night auditors shift leaders etc.) to consistently deliver excellent service.
Adhere to Front Office and ACCOR standards including appearance etiquette and efficiency.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead train and motivate Front Office staff to provide high-quality service.
Assist in scheduling performance evaluations and disciplinary actions when necessary.
Foster a positive and cooperative work environment.
Administration & Operational Duties
Oversee the use of Opera Cloud (PMS) for reservations guest profiles and reports.
Ensure compliance with hotel policies procedures and Swiss labor law (LGAV).
Support room inventory pricing and overbooking management.
Coordinate with Housekeeping Engineering and other departments to efficiently fulfill guest requests.
Assist in MICE operations including group check-ins event setup and client service.
Finance & Reporting
Assist in preparing daily weekly and monthly reports (occupancy revenue guest feedback etc.).
Monitor Front Office expenses and participate in budget processes.
Ensure accurate billing and cash handling procedures.
Sales & Revenue Support
Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing team to promote hotel services and capitalize on upselling opportunities.
Support the implementation of Revenue Management strategies to maximize occupancy and ADR.
Qualifications :
Required
Proven experience in a leadership position in Front Office (Assistant Supervisor or similar) in a large hotel (200 rooms).
Professional German and English language skills (written and oral). Additional languages are a plus.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
Excellent communication skills problem-solving skills and organizational skills.
Practical experience with Property Management Systems (PMS) preferably Opera Cloud.
In-depth knowledge of hotel operations including reservations guest services and night audit processes.
Eligible to work in Switzerland.
Desirable
Accor background (experience within the Accor Group is a major advantage).
Knowledge of Swiss labor law (LGAV).
Experience in MICE operations and handling group bookings.
Previous experience in Revenue Management and sales support.
