About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Services Owner Expert to support the development commercialization and scaling of service-based offerings within the marine industry. The assignment focuses on strengthening aftermarket services developing scalable service contract concepts establishing monitoring processes for connected assets and supporting the global rollout of digital connectivity services.

The ideal candidate combines strong strategic business development capabilities with hands-on execution experience in service management digital services commercialization and B2B business models.

The primary focus of the assignment will be the development and implementation of service contracts with additional responsibility for connected vessel monitoring processes and connectivity service go-to-market activities.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Service Contracts Strategy & Concept Development

The consultant will lead the development of a scalable and market-adapted service contract offering including:

  • Conduct market analysis and identify customer opportunities.

  • Understand customer needs willingness to pay and value drivers.

  • Analyze dealer requirements incentives business models and operational needs.

  • Define service contract concepts with focus on dealer-owned service contracts.

  • Develop segmented service offerings based on customer profiles and requirements.

  • Create business cases including:

    • Revenue models

    • Profitability analysis

    • Growth assumptions

    • Scenario evaluations

    • Investment considerations

  • Assess alternative operating models benefits risks and dependencies.

  • Evaluate impacts on existing processes systems architecture and data requirements.

  • Define and initiate a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) approach focused on rapid market implementation.

  • Establish frameworks templates and guidelines enabling local teams and partners to independently commercialize service contracts.

2. Monitoring Processes for Connected Assets

The consultant will establish and improve operational processes for monitoring connected vessels and digital services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Define monitoring processes and ways of working for central and local teams.

  • Align roles responsibilities expectations and operational ownership.

  • Develop and maintain monitoring protocols as new data capabilities become available.

  • Identify process improvements and operational efficiencies.

  • Facilitate collaboration between monitoring teams to:

    • Review performance

    • Share insights and learnings

    • Identify recurring challenges

    • Capture improvement opportunities

  • Translate operational needs and feedback into development requirements.

  • Support communication activities and change management related to monitoring services.

3. Connectivity Services Go-to-Market & Commercialization

The consultant will support the commercialization and scaling of connectivity-based services through:

  • Define go-to-market strategies launch plans and sales approaches.

  • Identify priority markets target segments and rollout timelines.

  • Develop value propositions for different customer groups.

  • Support creation of sales marketing and dealer enablement materials.

  • Prepare materials supporting:

    • Pilot programs

    • Market activation

    • Large-scale rollout

    • Dealer adoption

  • Plan and execute pilot initiatives.

  • Identify adoption barriers and develop mitigation actions.

  • Ensure markets have the required tools processes and capabilities to execute.

  • Establish feedback loops for continuous improvement.

  • Define KPIs and performance tracking structures.

Requirements:
The successful candidate should have:

  • 10 years of relevant professional experience.

  • Strong background in service management business development and strategic execution.

  • Proven experience developing business plans commercial models and business cases.

  • Experience with process development commercialization and go-to-market strategies.

  • Understanding of digital services connected products and data-driven business models.

  • Experience working with aftermarket services or lifecycle-based offerings.

  • Experience with B2B environments and indirect sales models preferably involving dealer or partner networks.

  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate insights into actionable business outcomes.

  • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
