About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to help build and optimize the next generation of cloud-native connectivity solutions. You will join a diverse cross-functional team working in agile sprints contributing to state-of-the-art backend services and APIs that power global digital services used by millions of customers daily. The job includes building brand-new features setting the standard for resilient microservice design and converting complex business requirements into high-performance technical solutions.
Requirements:
5 years of professional experience developing complex backend applications on the JVM platform using Java and Kotlin.
Strong knowledge of microservices architecture secure API design (REST/GraphQL) and hosting resilient services.
Solid understanding of data streaming and databases specifically Kafka and Postgres.
Experience with automated workflows containerization and cloud environments using tools like Docker Kubernetes and Azure.
Fluency in English both spoken and written (Swedish is a major plus).
Highly prioritized: Currently residing in Sweden with a valid pre-existing Swedish work permit and available for a quick onboarding/short notice period.
Nice to Have:
Experience with search and monitoring tools such as Elasticsearch (with APM) Prometheus and Grafana.
Familiarity with CI/CD automation tools like GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
Understanding of authentication and authorization solutions performance optimization and using SLO/SLI to drive improvements.
Location: On-site in Gothenburg Sweden. Please note that this specific assignment requires being 100% on-site at the customers office every day of the workweek; remote work is not available.
