Senior Android Automotive Developer – AOSP AAOS

We are currently looking for experienced Senior Android Automotive Developers with deep expertise in AOSP AAOS and Android platform development. In this role you will work on advanced automotive software platforms system integration vehicle connectivity and infotainment architecture that power tomorrows connected vehicles.

Your role

As a Senior Android Automotive Developer you will contribute across the entire software stack from Android platform internals to vehicle integration. Working closely with cross-functional teams and automotive customers you will help design develop and optimize robust scalable and high-performance automotive systems.

You will be involved in areas such as:

• Android Automotive OS (AAOS) platform development
• AOSP customization and system integration
• Android Framework and System Services development
• Vehicle connectivity and platform architecture
• Infotainment systems and user experience platforms
• Performance optimization stability and software quality
• Over-the-Air (OTA) update solutions
• Integration of Google Automotive Services and connected services

At AFRY we develop and deliver cutting-edge solutions for vehicles systems functions and attributes to clients in the automotive industry. Our customers include both established OEMs innovative startups and Tier 1 system suppliers.

As an Android Automotive Developer you will work on software development across both application and native layers of the Android stack for infotainment systems. You will collaborate closely with UX designers and other stakeholders to define a seamless end-to-end user experience. Youll be part of a team with full responsibilityfrom design and architecture to documentation development verification and validation. At AFRY youll also have the opportunity to contribute actively to innovation by generating new ideas and solutions.

Qualifications :

Required qualifications

• To succeed in this role you should have:

• Minimum 5 years of Android software development experience
• Strong background in C and Linux
• Hands-on experience with AOSP and Android platform development
• Experience working with Android Automotive OS (AAOS)
• Experience within Android Framework System Services or native Android layers
• Experience from Android Automotive Embedded Android or Automotive Infotainment development.

• CEVT
• ECARX
• Google Automotive Services (GAS)
• Vehicle HAL (VHAL)
• CTS VTS and GTS testing

  Key technical competencies

• We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:

• AOSP Build System
• Android Framework Services
• CarService
• Vehicle HAL (VHAL)
• SystemUI / CarSystemUI
• OTA and software update systems
• Android performance and stability optimization
• Google Automotive Services (GAS)
• Google Maps integration
• Gemini and Assistant integration
•  
• At least 2 years of experience within Automotive OEM or Tier-1 environments
• Experience with Git Gerrit and Linux-based development environments
• Valid Swedish Category B driving licence
• Professional communication skills in English
