The project will be pursued at Lund University Diabetes Centre one of the strongest centers for T2D research in the world. The position is within the research group Neuroendocrine Cell Biology at CRC in Malmö. The group consist of 2-3 postdocs 1 PhD student and is managed by Prof Nils Wierup. The laboratory is located at the Clinical Research Centre (CRC) on the hospital campus in Malmö.

You will work closely with Dr Andreas Lindqvist and Prof Wierup. Daily meetings and direct feedback ensure an efficient climate for solving potential technical problems. Model systems will be INS-1 cells and isolated islets. Readouts consist of e.g. qPCR IHC and Western blot-based measures. You will perform CRISPR silencing of certain genes and independently analyse the outcome. You will summarize data into publication quality information. The position is a fixed-term employment for 12 months at 100 percent starting on 11/9 2026 or by agreement. Interviews will be conducted at our offices in Malmö during 1822/8 2026.
