About the role
As a Quality Technician Welding youll be part of a team that safeguards Alfa Lavals reputation for quality and innovation. Your day-to-day work will include:
- Performing visual and dimensional inspections of welded components and assemblies
- Verifying compliance with welding procedures standards and customer specifications
- Supporting welders and production teams with technical guidance and feedback
- Managing non-conformities root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Maintaining inspection records and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborating with engineering and quality colleagues to enhance processes and product reliability
This is a role for someone who enjoys being close to the processobserving analysing and improving. Youll have the opportunity to influence how we work and help us raise the bar even higher.
Who you are
Youre a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in doing things right. You combine technical expertise with a proactive mindset and a passion for quality. Youre comfortable working in a dynamic production environment and enjoy collaborating across teams.
We believe you have:
- A technical education in welding materials or mechanical engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Solid experience in welding inspection or quality control within manufacturing
- Knowledge of welding standards (such as ISO 3834 ISO 5817 or ASME)
- Certification for NDT V2 is an advantage
- Certification as a Welding Inspector (IWI IWS or similar) is an advantage
- Strong communication skills and a structured solution-oriented approach
- A genuine interest in continuous improvement and sustainable manufacturing
