Our research group at the Unit of Cardiovascular and Nutritional Epidemiology at the Institute of Environmental Medicine (IMM) offers a creative and stimulating research environment where professionals from different disciplines work together with a focus on diet lifestyle and health. You will become an important member of a dedicated team with responsibility for a research project involving both national and international collaboration.

Your mission

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious postdoctoral researcher to coordinate and evaluate a study commencing in the autumn of 2026. You will also analyze existing data from large prospective cohorts and prepare scientific publications. The studies focus on dietary habits and their significance for both human and planetary health.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing data collection protocols in collaboration with national and international partners and conducting data collection processing and analysis
  • Analyzing data from large prospective longitudinal cohorts for scientific publication
  • Presenting research findings at scientific conferences and contributing to research grant applications.

This is a two year fixed-term position.

Your profile

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctoral researcher a PhD or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a Swedish PhD is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. Completion of your doctoral degree within the last three years is considered an advantage. If there are special reasons your degree may have been completed earlier.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise in epidemiology biostatistics and/or qualitative research methods
  • A high degree of scientific independence excellent analytical skills and the ability to independently plan work tasks and meet deadlines
  • High scientific rigor strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken
  • A collaborative and proactive approach along with a strong commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and publishing high-quality research

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in epidemiological research on diet and health and/or knowledge of behavioral aspects of food choice
  • Experience in nutrition research related to climate and sustainability issues
  • Experience leading data collection and working with data management and processing including qualitative methods
  • Proficiency in Swedish
