Job Summary

Role Overview: This is a permanent leadership position based in Stockholm within a Global Business Services (GBS) organization. You will take full accountability for financial compliance statutory reporting and tax-related matters for legal entities across the Nordic region. The role involves navigating a complex matrix-driven global environment combining technical accounting expertise with people leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver accurate and timely US GAAP and local GAAP statutory reporting for all assigned Nordic entities.

  • Ensure monthly US GAAP reporting is completed on schedule and remains free from material misstatement.

  • Lead all regional compliance activities including statutory tax and regulatory requirements.

  • Drive standardization best practices and continuous improvement across reporting and month-end processes.

  • Manage external audits statutory accounts and tax submissions in coordination with external advisors.

  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and maintain audit readiness including the resolution of any audit findings.

  • Manage entity closures and end-to-end processes from US GAAP close through to local statutory accounts.

  • Coach develop and motivate a Stockholm-based finance team to ensure high-quality delivery.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for Nordic finance compliance while supporting senior leadership in broader organizational goals.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Possess a recognized professional accounting qualification.

  • Hold a Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field.

  • Have 5 to 7 years of relevant experience including a previous Finance Manager role in a local or regional context.

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Nordic compliance and local GAAP requirements.

  • Maintain proficiency in US GAAP (highly advantageous).

  • Exhibit proven experience working with external auditors tax advisors and shared service environments.

  • Show confidence in leading teams developing talent and supporting succession planning.

  • Display strong analytical skills and a structured approach to problem-solving.

  • Communicate fluently in both English and Swedish.

Work Environment & Compensation:
  • Location: Stockholm Sweden.

  • Work Arrangement: On-site collaboration is prioritized with a minimum of 4 days in-office per week.

  • Salary Range: SEK 840000 to SEK 960000 per annum.

  • Travel: Occasional travel may be required.
