What Youll DoAtElekta

Lead Research Scientistsareresponsible forpursuing variousinnovation and exploration activitiesindividually andin collaboration with others. You will be part ofthe Physics and Advanced Applications group atBusiness Line Neuroadedicatedresearch and pre-development group. Weinvestigatefuture technology and product concepts with a particular focus on physics optimization machinelearningand prototype development.Even though we are a research group software development isat thecore of what we do so we expect you to not only be a skilled researcher but also have experience in good software development practices preferably in Python.

For thisposition weanticipateextended touchpoints toearly-stagedevelopment ofmachine learning products so experience of machine learning pipelines is considered an advantage.

This is an opportunity to use your technical skills to save orimprovethe lives of patients with diseases in the brain includingneurological diseases and cancer.

Responsibilities

  • Lead researchandinnovation activities aligned withElektasstrategicobjectives.

  • Contribute to ML production pipelines and scalable maintainable software solutions.

  • Developand evaluatefuture technology conceptsacrossphysics optimization mathematical modelling machinelearningand software development.

  • Design prototypes and perform scientific analysesevaluationsand technical investigations.

  • Provide technicalexpertiseacrossR&D regulatoryqualityand product development activities.

  • Promote software development best practices focused on qualitycollaborationand maintainability.

  • Mentor colleagues and shareexpertiseto strengthen technical excellence.

WhatYoullBring

  • PhD in Machine Learning Applied Mathematics Physics ora relatedfield or MSc with significant relevant industry and research experience.

  • 2 years of relevantpost-PhDresearch or technology development.

  • Experience developing machine learning solutions and production-grade ML pipelines.

  • Strong software development skills preferably in Pythonwithsound engineering practices.

  • Expertisein one ormore ofphysics optimization mathematicalmodellingor machine learning.

  • Goodcommunicationskills in English.Swedish is considered an advantage but is not.

  • Curiouscollaborativeand proactivewith a passion for innovation and patient impact.
