About the Role
As a Junior Legal Counsel at Nordiska you will play an important role in supporting the banks continued growth and expansion. Working as part of a highly skilled legal team you will provide practical and business-oriented legal advice across a broad range of matters helping the organization navigate both day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer who wants to gain broad exposure within a fast-growing financial services company and develop their expertise in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
What Youll Do
Support the business with legal advice related to Nordiskas lending operations and partner business.
Assist in negotiations and drafting of financing commercial and business agreements.
Contribute to corporate governance and company law matters across the organization.
Coordinate legal workstreams in internal projects and collaborate with external legal advisors when required.
Review draft and negotiate supplier agreements and other commercial contracts.
Conduct legal research and provide guidance on regulatory and operational legal matters.
Work proactively with stakeholders across the organization to identify legal risks and enable business growth.
Your Profile
You are a solution-oriented and commercially minded lawyer who enjoys finding practical ways forward while balancing legal risks with business needs. You thrive in a collaborative environment and build strong relationships with colleagues across different functions and levels of the organization. As a person you are curious proactive and take ownership of your work while continuously seeking opportunities to develop your legal expertise. You are motivated by working in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial setting where you can combine day-to-day legal support with active involvement in business initiatives projects and strategic growth opportunities.
We believe that you have:
A Master of Laws degree
Up to 12 years of relevant professional experience from a law firm financial institution or in-house legal function. However we place great value on potential and personal fit and welcome applications from recently graduated candidates with a strong interest in commercial law and financial services.
Experience drafting reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements.
A solid understanding of general corporate and commercial law.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Swedish and English.
The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple stakeholders.
Experience within lending banking financial services or regulated industries is considered a strong advantage but is not a requirement.
