Interim Legal Counsel (Senior / Medior)

Our client is an international organisation known for its strong business focus collaborative culture and high standards in quality and integrity. Operating across several markets the company combines a pragmatic results-driven mindset with a people-oriented approach.
At present the organisation is going through a phase of internal alignment and integration which has created the need for additional legal support. This interim position offers the opportunity to step into a key role within the business supporting both daily operations and ongoing strategic initiatives.
REGION:
The role is based in the north of Stockholm.
Start date: 1 June 2026 or as soon as possible
Duration: Until the end of 2026 with potential prolongation
Preferred setup: Full-time (part-time possible depending on seniority)
Ability to be onsite 3-4 days per week is required (Solna).
TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role you will act as a trusted legal partner to the business balancing strategic input with hands-on execution. You will support both ongoing operations and key organisational initiatives working closely with stakeholders across the company.
Your responsibilities will include (not limited to):
- Providing clear pragmatic and business-oriented legal advice to management and internal stakeholders
- Supporting integration and organisational alignment initiatives across the business
- Drafting reviewing and negotiating a wide range of contracts and legal documents
- Overseeing legal matters across Sweden ensuring compliance with local regulations
- Guiding and supporting two Legal Counsels in their day-to-day work ensuring continuity and quality
- Coordinating and managing external legal counsel when required
- Assessing legal risks and translating them into practical recommendations for the business
- Contributing to the development of legal processes policies and best practices
- Supporting internal knowledge-sharing through training and guidance where relevant
PROFILE:
We are looking for a confident and grounded legal professional who enjoys working close to the business and taking ownership. You are comfortable operating independently while also being a supportive presence for the team around you.
You bring a solid legal foundation combined with a pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset and you are able to balance legal risk with business priorities.
Your background and experience include:
- A law degree from a Swedish university (or equivalent)
- Approximately 510 years of relevant experience either in private practice in-house or both
- You bring a strong legal foundation and are comfortable handling a broad range of topics while knowing when to involve others or seek input.
- Fluency in Swedish and English is required as you will work with Swedish legal documentation in an English-speaking business environment
- Experience from an international environment is considered an advantage
Compensation is market-based and will be discussed individually taking into account your experience seniority and availability.
This is an interim assignment and different engagement setups can be discussed.
