Tasks

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Head of Projects is responsible for the strategic planning management and successful delivery of all projects within the Business this role you will lead a high-performing team ensuring the safe high-quality and timely execution of projects while driving sustainable growth and profitability.

Key responsibilities include developing and managing a robust project pipeline to support revenue targets as well as actively securing new business by building and maintaining long-term client and partner relationships. You will ensure that all projects are delivered in full compliance with contractual statutory commercial and QHSE requirements as well as relevant technical standards.

In addition the role focuses on optimising project profitability managing risks and opportunities and continuously improving processes and standards in line with the overall Business Unit strategy. This includes leading complex bids and tenders negotiating contractual terms and ensuring accurate forecasting and financial planning.

As a senior leader the Head of Projects plays a key role in attracting developing and retaining talent fostering a high-performance culture and contributing to the successful delivery of CBREs strategic objectives.

Requirements

YOUR PROFILE

  • Relevant technical or project management background (e.g. Construction Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or similar); degree preferred
  • Proven experience delivering projects within FM construction M&E or critical environments with a strong focus on safety
  • Strong commercial mindset including P&L responsibility and experience in building and converting project pipelines
  • Experience leading and developing teams with the ability to attract retain and grow talent
  • Experience with bids tenders and client-facing sales activities
  • Good understanding of contract management QHSE and regulatory requirements
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence at senior levels
  • Collaborative and relationship-driven approach with the ability to build trust quickly
  • Structured and results-oriented able to manage multiple projects in complex fast-paced environments
  • Analytical and solution-focused mindset with the confidence to challenge the status quo
  • High level of integrity ownership and self-motivation
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. APM PRINCE2 NEBOSH SMSTS IOSH) are advantageous but not essential
