Group Accountant
- Automotive Business

The role offers broad exposure across the global organization with regular interaction with stakeholders across the Group management and external auditors.

You will contribute to the preparation of the Groups external financial reports presented in English and Swedish and ensure that SKF Automotives accounting policies are kept updated and properly communicated through written policies/instructions and education sessions for key stakeholders.

You will also contribute with your accounting expertise to projects in different areas. As part of Group Accounting you will join a global and diverse team of skilled high-performance professionals who work with passion in an open and positive atmosphere.

What you can expect in the role

• Manage and drive your areas of responsibility in the monthly close including analyses and input to external reporting.
• Take a proactive role with stakeholders across the Group to analyze business transactions and ensure correct accounting treatment (IFRS).
• Drive the development maintenance and communication of Group accounting policies and user-friendly accounting instructions.
• Act as a key contact for external auditors.
• Perform ad hoc analyses and support decision-making when needed.
• Play a key role in cross-functional projects and contribute with accounting expertise.
• Drive continuous improvements and contribute actively to the digitalization journey within Group Accounting.

You are part of a team with extensive contacts throughout the SKF Automotive addition we work cross-functionally with other HQ functions e.g. Tax Business Control Legal Investor Relations and Sustainability.

We expect you to have

• Relevant academic background in Accounting Finance Economics or equivalent.
• Several years of relevant IFRS accounting experience preferably combined with consolidation experience.
• Strong ability to work independently take ownership and drive accounting matters from assessment to implementation.
• Experience from multi-cultural and global finance operations.
• Experience from a Big 4 audit firm is a plus.
• Fluent in English and Swedish verbal and written.

Some additional information

The position is based in Gothenburg Sweden.

We offer a flexible hybrid working model allowing you to work from home a few days per week while spending the remaining days at the office. As employment is offered on alocal contract this role requires that you live within commuting distance to Gothenburg and can be on-site several days per week.

As we do not offer relocation work permits or visa sponsorshipfor this position you will need to have the right to work in Sweden and be able to start in Gothenburg without relocation support.
