About the job
AsGlobal Category Manager you lead and govern category work within your areaof responsibility. The role focuseson developing and executing category strategies drivingsourcing initiatives and ensuring implementation compliance and value realization across the organization.
Job responsibilities
Lead and manage cross-functionalcategory teams at a strategic level
Developmaintain and governcategory strategies within your scope
Identify prepare andlead strategic sourcingprojects end-to-end
Negotiate conclude and implement suppliercontacts
Drivestrategic supplier management includingcontract governance and compliance
Build andmaintainstrong relationshipswith key stakeholders and suppliers
Locationand flexibility
The position is based in Sandviken(Mossvägen)and offers a hybrid working modelallowing you to workremotelyevery other week.
Your profile
You bring extensive experience in strategic sourcing and category management and are confident operating in complex global organizations. With a strong commercial mindset youidentifyhow to secure maximum value from supplier contracts and drive sustainable sourcing outcomes. Influencing senior stakeholders and navigating diverse perspectives come naturally to you.

Proven ability to commercially source solutions by evaluating options negotiating closing deals and managing stakeholder expectations
Strong negotiation contracting and strategic supplier management capabilities
Experience workingcross-functionallyand engaging confidently with senior stakeholders
Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish enabling effective collaboration both locally and globally
A relevant academicdegreeandexperience from the manufacturing industry is an advantage
Yourecomfortable challenging stakeholders partners and suppliers when needed whileremainingadaptable and open to different perspectives. A structured anddetail-orientedapproach combined with curiosity and market awareness enables you to proactivelyidentifyand develop sourcing solutions that deliver long term value.
