About the role and the challenges you will work on:

Build the Algorithms Behind the Future of Airline Pricing

At SAS we are building next-generation Dynamic Pricing capabilities that will transform how airline offers are priced customized and optimized.

As a Dynamic Pricing Scientist you will apply Operations Research Statistics Machine Learning and Economic thinking to solve some of the most challenging commercial optimization problems in aviation.

You will work in a highly skilled team of scientists and product managers where your models will directly influence pricing decisions at scale working at the intersection of mathematics economics customer behavior and technology.

You will alsoown the science behind our Dynamic Pricing algorithms.

  • Develop improve and deploy Dynamic Pricing models.
  • Design optimization approaches that maximize revenue while delivering customer value.
  • Analyze customer behavior booking patterns competitive dynamics and market conditions.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to translate business opportunities into analytical solutions.
  • Work closely with engineers to operationalize models in production environments.
  • Design experiments and evaluate business impact.
  • Contribute to the broader evolution of Revenue Management pricing forecasting and optimization capabilities at SAS.
  • Help define the future analytical agenda of Revenue Management and Network Optimization Science.

To be successful we believe you have

You enjoy solving complex business problems using quantitative methods and have a strong desire to create measurable business impact.

We believe you have:

  • MSc or PhD in Operations Research Mathematics Statistics Economics Data Science Computer Science Engineering Physics or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience applying analytical methods to real-world business problems.
  • Strong programming skills in Python R SQL or equivalent.
  • Ability to structure ambiguity and translate business questions into analytical approaches.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Pricing Revenue Management Forecasting Optimization or Decision Science.
  • Experience developing Machine Learning models in production environments.
  • Familiarity with airline travel retail e-commerce mobility or marketplace industries.
  • Experience with experimentation and causal inference.
  • Knowledge of Operations Research techniques including optimization simulation or forecasting.

  • Position: Fulltime (100%) starting with a 6-month probation period.
  • This position is based in Frösundavik Solna (Stockholm) and you will be expected to work onsite. Remote work and employment in Copenhagen may also be options depending on the agreement made with your manager.
  • To be eligible for this position you need an EU-work permit. Please note that we ask you to inform us if you currently have a valid EU-work permit.
