About the assignment

Responsibilities

• Operate troubleshoot and improve cloud-based cyber defense platforms telemetry pipelines and integrations
• Develop automation and platform improvements using python Terraform Git and CI/CD
• Monitor service health data flow performance cost and security; investigate failures and implement sustainable fixes
• Maintain technical documentation runbooks architecture decisions risks and lifecycle plans
• Collaborate with SOC analysts and other engineering teams to turn operational requirements into reliable reusable solutions

Requirements

Mandatory

• Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure Engineering experience

• Good Linux/*nix skills including navigating and troubleshooting virtual machines containers and services

• Practical Python development and automation experience

• Experience with containers and preferably kubernetes

• Leadership experience level: Senior individual contributor with demonstrated technical leadership the consultant does not need formal personnel-management experience but must be able to independently lead technical initiatives coordinate across teams make sound engineering decisions and drive work from an unclear problem to a documented and sustainable production outcome

Nice-to-have

• Security engineering SIEM/SOAR Microsoft Sentinel Defender XDR or large-scale telemetry experience is highly desirable
