The opportunity

We are looking for an engaged and experienced control engineer to support our expanding team of engineers working with the climatesystemdesign of HVDC stations. The climate system is essentialtofacilitatesafe and reliable operation of the HVDC station. The increased installed base of projects as well as thelarge numberof parallel ongoing projects means an increased need forcontrolcompetence within the climatesystemdesign department. You will work closely with the climate system designers ensuring alignment between intended functionality and actual this role you will work with the development configuration and verification of control and protection functions for HVDC installations. Programming is performed in graphical function block environments for real-time systems where you build logic for regulation monitoring and protection.

Howyoullmake an impact

• Simulate test andverifyfunctionsof climate systemin a laboratory environment

• Participatein system testing factory system tests (FST) and commissioningat site

• Troubleshoot and improve control logic and functionality

• Documentfunctions and system solutions

• Reviewing and updating implementation of intended functionality for climate system.

• Proactively working with future climatesystemcontrolsolutionsmaking sure the climate systemcontrolis aligned with overall functionality.

• Increase the quality of thedeliveriesby ensuring theend-to-endprocess for the climate system is implemented in all phases all the way to commissioning.
  

Your background

• Degree in Electrical Power Engineering Automation Control Systems Electronics or equivalent.
• Experience with control and protection systems in power or industrial applications.
• Strong interest in control systems control theory and real-time systems.
• Site commissioning experience for control and protection systems.
• Excellent English communication skills; Swedish is an advantage.
• Broad understanding of control and protection functionality and power system operations.
• Knowledge of wiring cabling terminals connectors and electrical installation requirements.
• Experience with Modbus HMI development graphical function block programming (e.g. HiDraw) and HVDC systems is a plus.
