Job Summary
The Finance Manager is responsible for managing the organizations financial operations reporting budgeting forecasting financial controls and management an insurance and investment environment the role also supports investment accounting portfolio reporting capital management regulatory compliance and financial risk analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day finance and accounting operations.
Lead budgeting forecasting financial planning and variance analysis.
Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
Monitor cash flow liquidity working capital and financial performance.
Support investment accounting portfolio valuation and investment performance reporting.
Analyze investment income expenses returns and risk-adjusted performance.
Support insurance-related financial reporting reserves premiums claims and regulatory requirements.
Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations.
Prepare financial models business cases and scenario analyses for management decision-making.
Support capital planning solvency/capital adequacy analysis and strategic financial initiatives.
Liaise with auditors banks regulators investment managers and other external stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for cost optimization and improved financial performance.
Lead supervise and develop finance team members.
Present financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
Ideal Candidate Profile
710 years of finance/accounting experience.
Experience in insurance banking asset management investment management wealth management or financial services preferred.
Strong experience in FP&A financial reporting budgeting forecasting and financial analysis.
Exposure to investment portfolios investment accounting capital markets or treasury is highly desirable.
Strong Excel and financial modeling capabilities.
Experience with ERP/accounting systems and financial reporting tools.
Professional qualification such as ACCA CA CPA CFA CIMA MBA Finance or equivalent preferred.
