Chief Blockchain Officer

The Chief Blockchain Officer (CBO) is responsible for defining and executing the organizations blockchain distributed ledger technology (DLT) digital asset and Web3 strategy. This executive role leads the development of blockchain-based products tokenization initiatives decentralized finance (DeFi) opportunities smart contract ecosystems and enterprise blockchain adoption to drive innovation operational efficiency and new revenue streams.

• Develop and execute the organizations blockchain and digital asset strategy.
• Identify opportunities for blockchain adoption across products operations and customer experiences.
• Advise the CEO Board and executive leadership on blockchain trends risks and opportunities.
• Establish the organizations vision for Web3 tokenization and decentralized ecosystems.

• Lead the design development and deployment of blockchain-based products and platforms.
• Oversee smart contract architecture and decentralized application (dApp) development.
• Drive tokenization initiatives for assets payments loyalty programs and financial products.
• Ensure scalable secure and compliant blockchain solutions.

• Develop strategies for digital assets token ecosystems and cryptocurrency integration where applicable.
• Design tokenomics models and governance structures.
• Evaluate opportunities for digital asset custody trading settlement and asset management.
• Assess emerging trends in stablecoins CBDCs and tokenized assets.

• Lead enterprise blockchain initiatives across supply chain identity payments trade finance and record management.
• Evaluate and implement blockchain platforms such as Hyperledger Fabric Ethereum and other distributed ledger technologies.
• Drive proof-of-concept programs and innovation labs.
• Promote blockchain adoption across business units.

• Ensure blockchain initiatives comply with applicable financial technology and data regulations.
• Collaborate with Legal Compliance Risk and Cybersecurity teams.
• Manage risks associated with smart contracts digital assets and decentralized systems.
• Establish governance frameworks for blockchain operations.

• Build partnerships with blockchain networks fintechs technology providers regulators and industry consortiums.
• Represent the organization in blockchain alliances and industry forums.
• Identify opportunities for ecosystem expansion and interoperability.
• Lead blockchain-related investments and strategic collaborations.

• Ensure security and resilience of blockchain infrastructure and smart contracts.
• Implement governance frameworks for blockchain networks and decentralized applications.
• Oversee smart contract audits security assessments and vulnerability management.
• Establish best practices for digital asset protection and key management.

• Build and lead high-performing blockchain engineering product and innovation teams.
• Develop blockchain capabilities across the organization.
• Manage blockchain budgets investments and vendor relationships.
• Foster a culture of innovation and emerging technology adoption.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Technology Finance or related field.
• Masters degree MBA or relevant advanced qualification preferred.
• 15 years of experience in technology fintech digital innovation financial services or blockchain-related fields.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience leading blockchain digital asset Web3 or distributed ledger initiatives.
• Strong understanding of smart contracts tokenization digital assets cryptography and blockchain architecture.
