The Technical Leader for Wind Turbine Sensors & Controls Hardware is responsible for the end-to-end architecture and component strategy of our turbine and farm-level control this role you will lead the development of innovative products and solutions execute business-critical New Product Introductions (NPI) drive cost-out initiatives and advance technology to maximize Annual Energy Production (AEP) and ensure world-class fleet performance.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead team through the entire lifecycle of change management ensuring engineering rigor and technical compliance.
- Define and execute the roadmap for wind turbine sensors controllers I/O modules and communication hardware covering new technology development design and fulfillment.
- Support team execution of competitive cost-out programs and performance enhancements for core controls hardware ensuring alignment with segment-wide engineering goals.
- Lead team work scheduling and capacity planning using tools such as CPI WATCH Tool and Pathfinder to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Support Barcelona lab activities as needed providing technical guidance for the integration and validation of sensors and controls hardware.
- Partner with Systems Product Development Engineering (PDE) and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless execution of technical strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Controls or Mechanical Engineering (or a related discipline with a focus on Renewable Energy).
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the design of sensors electronics controls or power systems.
- A proactive results-oriented self-starter capable of delivering complex projects with minimal supervision.
Desired Characteristics
- Master of Science in Electrical Controls or Mechanical Engineering.
- Deep technical knowledge of wind turbine electrical systems including control hardware and software integration and power systems.
- Proven ability to navigate complex technical challenges with long-term strategic vision.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and lead across horizontal cross-functional engineering teams.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
