If you are studying and eager to learn about biomass conversion process scaling to pilot plant level and the role of biorefineries in the energy transition this is your adventure! Join our dynamic Energy Transition team in the Welcome U Internship Program.

In this adventure you will be accompanied by Moeve professionals to help you make the most of this experience becoming an expert in the characterization pretreatment enzymatic hydrolysis and fermentation of lignocellulosic biomass.

What are we looking for

• Students in the final years of a Bachelors or Masters degree inBiochemical Engineering Biotechnology Industrial Biotechnology or equivalent qualifications.
• Prior knowledge of fermentation enzymatic hydrolysis and general biotechnological processes.
• Having passed at least 120 credits with active enrollment at a university (with an internship agreement).
• Curricular or extracurricular internships.
• Eagerness to learn and grow strong analytical skills and a interest in experimental work and the energy transition.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Analytical capacity to interpret physicochemical data experimental results and raw material characterization.
• Familiarity with literature search tools (ScienceDirect ScopusAI Espacenet).
• Knowledge and handling of the MS Office suite (especially PowerPoint and Excel) for technical reporting and planning.
• Curiosity about pilot plant operation low-carbon footprint biofuels and the development of innovative technologies (TRL).

Responsibilities:

• You will support theanalysis operation and evaluation of conversion processes for agricultural and residual biomass at pilot scale understanding the stages of characterization pretreatment and enzymatic hydrolysis.
• You will collaborate in theexecution of separation and fermentation experimental trials to produce bioethanol and value-added fractions interpreting the resulting data.
• You will learn aboutprocess scale-up and how to extrapolate pilot plant results to assess biofuel efficiency and quality at an industrial scale.
• You will assist inliterature searches and state-of-the-art reviews using specialized databases to support experimental work planning.
• You will participate in monitoring the technology readiness level (TRL) of processes within the context of sustainable mobility and the energy transition.
