Job Summary

Join Axpo Services EMEA and help shape reliable future-ready VAT compliance processes across Europe. Youll work in an international environment where collaboration continuous improvement and smart digital solutions matter.

What you will do:

  • Establish a solid in-house VAT compliance process

  • Oversee and coordinate day-to-day VAT compliance activities across multiple European jurisdictions

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation review and submission of VAT returns and indirect tax filings

  • Collaborate closely with Accounting Treasury and other internal stakeholders on VAT-related matters

  • Translate complex VAT requirements into practical processes controls and system improvements

  • Drive automation digital reporting and VAT technology initiatives such as e-invoicing and real-time reporting

  • Support VAT audits inspections and tax authority requests while identifying and mitigating VAT risks

What you bring & who you are:

  • Several years (3-5) of experience in VAT compliance ideally within an international accounting firm or an in-house tax environment

  • Strong knowledge of VAT reporting processes and ERP systems especially SAP; experience with BC365 is a plus

  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with accounting and transactional data

  • Structured and analytical approach with the ability to simplify complex topics and communicate clearly

  • Collaborative mindset with strong stakeholder management and cross-functional teamwork skills

  • Fluent English skills; ideally you also speak German or another European language
