VAT Compliance Manager (fmd)
Job Summary

What you will do:
Establish a solid in-house VAT compliance process
Oversee and coordinate day-to-day VAT compliance activities across multiple European jurisdictions
Ensure timely and accurate preparation review and submission of VAT returns and indirect tax filings
Collaborate closely with Accounting Treasury and other internal stakeholders on VAT-related matters
Translate complex VAT requirements into practical processes controls and system improvements
Drive automation digital reporting and VAT technology initiatives such as e-invoicing and real-time reporting
Support VAT audits inspections and tax authority requests while identifying and mitigating VAT risks
What you bring & who you are:
Several years (3-5) of experience in VAT compliance ideally within an international accounting firm or an in-house tax environment
Strong knowledge of VAT reporting processes and ERP systems especially SAP; experience with BC365 is a plus
Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with accounting and transactional data
Structured and analytical approach with the ability to simplify complex topics and communicate clearly
Collaborative mindset with strong stakeholder management and cross-functional teamwork skills
Fluent English skills; ideally you also speak German or another European language
