ROLE SUMMARY:

Kings College Soto de Viñuelas is seeking a committed and dynamic Economics Teacher to join our team from September on a long-term temporary basis (duración de varios meses). The successful candidate will teach Economics across GCSE A Level and IB programmes within a high-achieving international school environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to contribute to a thriving department supporting students to achieve academic excellence and develop a strong understanding of economic principles in a global context.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teach Economics across GCSE A Level and IB Diploma Programme classes
  • Plan prepare and deliver engaging differentiated lessons aligned with curriculum requirements
  • Assess monitor and report on student progress in line with school policies
  • Provide constructive feedback to support student achievement and progress
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental resources
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and student engagement
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Degree in Economics or a closely related subject
  • Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE QTS or equivalent international certification)
  • Experience teaching GCSE A Level and/or IB Economics (minimum one or more of these essential)
  • Strong understanding of international curricula and assessment frameworks
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities
  • High level of English proficiency (spoken and written); additional languages (especially Spanish) are an advantage
