Job Summary
Roles and Responsibilities
As the Supplier Quality Engineer - Electrical you will be responsible for:
- Both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development.
- Execute supplier PPAP/qualifications action plans audits performance monitoring and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence.
- Drive PPAP rigor to APQP and internal procedure requirements.
- Cross functional collaboration with engineering/sourcing/product management to achieve alignment towards quality objectives.
- Execute audit plan on assigned components/suppliers.
- Support and lead where necessary analysis and containment of supplier escaping defects.
Required Qualifications
- This role requires experience in Manufacturing & Supplier Quality Engineering
- Technical experience with Electrical systems.
- Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent (Minimum).
- Problem Solving and structured RCA process execution experience
- Knowledge and application of APQP PPAP Measurement system analysis PFMEA Statistical process capability RCA methods and Auditing.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex workload independently.
- Experience with Lean techniques and tools.
- Flexibility to work with cross functional teams in multiple time zones including US Europe
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% of the time
Desired Characteristics
- Experience in Advanced Product Quality Planning and sourcing quality from the Wind or Automotive Sectors
- Masters degree in advanced manufacturing/processes.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to document plan market and execute programs.
- Established project management skills
