Job Summary

VHIR is seeking a Study Coordinator specialised in neuromuscular diseases to join the Peripheral Nervous System Research Group.

Our laboratory in the Neuromuscular Disorders Unit of the Neurology Service has a twenty-year history of clinical care and research into amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and other motor neurone diseases (hereditary spastic paraplegia post-polio syndrome Hirayama disease spinal muscular atrophy) myasthenia gravis genetically determined myopathies and peripheral neuropathies. Our main lines of research focus on the molecular mechanisms of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and how genetic mutations in family ELA predispose or modify genetic factors. We also look for effective biomarkers in blood and in cerebrospinal fluid that allow the evaluation of new medication

Main responsibilities and duties:
  • Coordinate and manage clinical trials in collaboration with Investigators and the clinical research team.

  • Coordinate patient visits study procedures and follow-up throughout the clinical trial.

  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of study documentation and data entry.

  • Coordinate communication with patients sponsors monitors and other stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with study protocols Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and applicable regulations.

Education and qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelors Degree in the field of Biosciences

  • Professional fluency in Catalan Spanish and English

Desirable:
  • Master in Clinical Trials

Experience and knowledge:
Required:
  • Experience working in clinical trials

  • At least 1 year of experience working as Study Coordinator

Labour conditions:

  • Working hours: Full-time (375 hours per week).

  • Starting date: As soon as possible.

  • Gross annual salary: 26000.00 - 28500.00 Remuneration will be determined by experience skills and responsibilities and aligned with the Collective Agreement pay scale.

  • Contract type: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
