About The Role:

Were investing in senior program managers who are energetic strategic and thrive in complex fast-moving engineering environments. This is a high-visibility high-impact role for someone who brings both the discipline to drive large scale cross-organizational programs and the strategic instincts to align leaders roadmaps and priorities across a broad and technically demanding portfolio.

As a Senior Program Manager in the Technology Excellence & Resilience organization you will own end-to-end program leadership across a portfolio spanning infrastructure cloud strategy and execution reliability engineering developer experience and AI tooling. TER ensures CrowdStrikes availability reliability and resilience by providing best-in-class infrastructure and engineering practices that enable CrowdStrike to operate at scale and keep innovating.

This role goes well beyond traditional program execution. You will drive strategic roadmap alignment across multiple engineering organizations facilitate cross-organizational planning at the quarterly and annual level navigate competing priorities between senior leaders and serve as the connective tissue between TERs engineering teams and CrowdStrikes broader strategic objectives. You will be expected to operate with a high degree of independence bring structure to complex and evolving problem spaces and deliver outcomes that move the needle on how CrowdStrike builds operates and scales its infrastructure and platform.

This role also carries significant responsibility for AI-powered program innovation. You will not only leverage AI to accelerate your own work but build the mechanisms workflows and tools that enable the broader organization to adopt AI and operate more efficiently at scale.

What Youll Do:

Program Management (70%):

• Own complex cross-functional programs end-to-end across TERs full engineering portfolio operating with a high degree of independence and driving outcomes from concept through measurable delivery.

• Drive strategic roadmap alignment across TERs engineering organizations and partner teams facilitating cross-organizational planning sessions that connect program priorities to CrowdStrikes broader strategic imperatives and ensure leadership is aligned on sequencing dependencies and commitments.

• Lead quarterly and annual strategic planning for TER owning the planning process formal documentation and continuous improvements to how the organization prioritizes sequences and staffs its work.

• Serve as the neutral party across engineering and leadership teams navigating roadmap conflicts and competing priorities between senior leaders to build consensus and keep TERs strategic objectives moving forward.

• Partner directly with engineering leaders at all levels from working through technical blockers with engineers to delivering concise synthesized executive updates that give leadership clear visibility into program health risks and decisions needed.

• Proactively identify and manage dependencies and risks across programs and teams foresee issues before they become blockers and drive mitigation plans with urgency and clear accountability.

• Translate complex technical and organizational dynamics into clear executable program plans with defined milestones owners and success metrics tied to business outcomes.

• Own and drive process improvement initiatives across TER identifying friction points in how the organization plans and delivers and operationalizing solutions that benefit the broader engineering organization.

• Build and sustain a culture of accountability across distributed engineering teams enabling high performance with minimal overhead and little guidance from above.

• Lead and own strategic planning documentation for TER facilitating planning sessions and ensuring objectives are clearly defined measurable and connected to CrowdStrikes strategic imperatives.

• Mentor and develop more junior program managers within TER and the broader program management community coaching people into leadership roles and offering career guidance without being prescriptive.

AI Tooling Creation (30%):

• Build AI-powered workflows dashboards and automated reporting systems that improve visibility and reduce manual overhead across TERs engineering portfolio.

• Design and deploy AI mechanisms agents and integrations across Jira GitLab monitoring tools and infrastructure systems that surface program health risks and dependencies automatically.

• Drive AI adoption across TERs engineering teams by creating reusable agents prompts and workflows that others can leverage in their day-to-day work reducing overhead and improving organizational efficiency at scale.

• Design AI-enhanced workflows that automate routine program management tasks while improving visibility across TER programs freeing time for strategic planning roadmap alignment and cross-organizational leadership.

• Set the standard for how AI is used within TERs program management community creating repeatable patterns and best practices that others can build on across CrowdStrikes engineering organization.

What Youll Need:

Program Management Excellence:

• 12 years managing complex cross-functional engineering programs at organizations operating at speed and scale with a demonstrated track record of driving strategic alignment across large engineering organizations.

• Proven experience driving strategic roadmap alignment across multiple engineering organizations including facilitating cross-organizational planning sessions managing competing priorities between senior leaders and translating strategic direction into executable program plans.

• Proven ability to operate independently in complex evolving environments orienting quickly identifying what needs to be driven and delivering outcomes with urgency and without requiring constant direction.

• Demonstrated track record of proactive ownership surfacing risks and program status to leadership before being asked and driving work forward end-to-end across complex cross-functional programs.

• Proven ability to build consensus between senior leaders with competing priorities and drive strategic alignment on complex cross-organizational programs spanning multiple engineering teams.

• Expert-level Jira proficiency and Agile/Scrum methodology experience including complex workflows automations queries and dashboards.

• Proven track record driving strategic planning processes at team quarterly and annual levels including roadmap ownership and executive-level program reporting.

• Strong organizational awareness with the ability to navigate complex matrixed organizations manage cross-functional stakeholders across dispersed portfolios and connect program work to enterprise strategy.

• Proven experience owning and driving process improvement initiatives that reduce friction and improve how engineering organizations plan and deliver at scale.

• Communication style that is concise synthesized and actionable across all audiences from engineers to senior leadership with the ability to tailor the right level of detail to the right audience every time.

AI Development Capabilities:

• Hands-on experience with agentic AI tools including Claude Code and GitHub Copilot as daily workflow accelerators.

• Ability to build Claude skills AI workflows and prompt engineering solutions.

• Proven experience building AI tools and mechanisms that drive adoption and reduce overhead across an engineering organization not just personal productivity.

• Experience integrating AI into existing enterprise workflows and tooling.

• Comfort with light development in Python or Go for AI automation scripts.

• Track record of using AI to drive measurable improvements in how teams and organizations plan execute and deliver.

• Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making streamline workflows and processes improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.

Leadership & Communication:

• Seasoned program leader with a strong bias toward action and a demonstrated track record of driving outcomes independently across complex distributed engineering organizations.

• Energized by technically complex fast-moving environments where strategic clarity and execution discipline are equally important.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to move seamlessly between strategic direction and tactical execution delivering the right level of detail to the right audience every time.

• Exceptional relationship-building skills that create impact beyond individual contributions fostering collaboration and strategic alignment across organizational boundaries.

• Proven track record of building consensus across senior leaders and driving strategic alignment on complex cross-functional programs.

• Proven track record of mentoring and developing other program managers while driving organizational change in complex engineering environments.

• Must work effectively with cross-functional groups across divisions worldwide as part of a collaborative team.

Domain Knowledge:

• Experience supporting broad engineering portfolios spanning infrastructure cloud reliability developer tooling or operational excellence at organizations operating at speed and scale.

• Ability to orient quickly in new technical domains connect the dots between programs and projects across a broad portfolio and engage credibly with engineering teams across disciplines.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and multi-cloud environments operational resilience practices and developer experience and testing frameworks.

• Knowledge of platform engineering tools including Go Python Terraform Kubernetes and GitLab CI/CD at a level sufficient to engage credibly with engineering teams and assess technical risk.

Bonus Points:

• Experience at a hyperscaler high-growth technology company or organization known for operating at speed and scale.

• Background in incident management business continuity or operational readiness programs at scale.

• Experience driving AI tooling adoption and building mechanisms for org-wide AI integration.

• Experience working in or alongside regulated or government cloud environments.

• Background in cybersecurity or security-adjacent engineering organizations.
