The opportunity

Be part of a global team shaping the future of power networks and digital substations.

As a Senior Commissioning & Service Engineer you will play a key role in delivering commissioning troubleshooting and upgrading Substation Automation Systems (SAS) for utilities transmission operators and industrial customers across Spain.

Working with technologies such as MicroSCADA protection & control systems communication networks and digital substation solutions you will help customers improve grid reliability operational efficiency and network resilience.

How youll make an impact

• Perform advanced commissioning troubleshooting maintenance upgrades and repairs on complex systems and equipment.
• Diagnose root causes of technical issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Execute service activities in compliance with technical standards quality requirements Health and Safety procedures contractual requirements and regulatory standards.
• Act as the main technical interface and point of contact for customers during service execution and after-service follow-up maintaining strong relationships and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Support customer training technical briefings and on-site guidance when required providing clear technical explanations recommendations and improvement proposals.

• Provide technical input for service quotations upgrades and retrofit opportunities.
• Coordinate with service coordinators project managers engineering and supply chain teams to ensure efficient execution.

Your background

• Relevant experience in Substation Automation SCADA Protection & Control Power Systems or Industrial Automation environments.
• Proven experience with complex installations commissioning troubleshooting and lifecycle service activities
• Background in customer-facing roles working independently on-site and managing technical responsibility
• Strong knowledge of one or more of the following depending on the business area: Automation and control systems (PLC DCS SCADA) Protection and control systems communication networks
• Knowledge of Substation Automation Systems such as MicroSCADA or similar will be beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams functional specifications and technical documentation
• Flexibility to travel nationally and work on sites when required. Travel is expected to be limited and will vary based on project and customer needs typically ranging from 0% to 20%.
• Native-level Spanish and a minimum B2 level of English
