The Role & The Team

As anInformation Security Specialist you willprovideexpert advice on the classification protection and handling of security classified a critical role in ensuring Airservices compliance with the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)information handling requirementsand support the Chief SecurityOfficerinmaintaininga robust security posture particularly with international vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and review Business Impact Levels and Security Classification Guides.
  • Assess and manage information risk including arrangements with foreign-owned vendors and international partners.
  • Supportcybersecurity specialists to assess security risk to information assets in support of the authorisation of systems.
  • Oversee the sanitisation destructionreclassificationand declassification of classified information.
  • Providespecialist security advice across projects including infrastructure and third-party engagements.
  • Represent Airservices in industry and government forums.

The Person

Essential:

  • Australian citizenship and eligibility for ASIC and NV1 Security Clearance.
  • Minimum5years experience in protective security roles ideally in aviation government or Defence.
  • Strong knowledge of the PSPF and a risk-based approach to security.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF)
  • Experience in security incident investigations and remediation planningand compensating controls.
  • Certificate IV in Security Risk Management or equivalentexperience.
  • Project Management qualifications.
