Location: Barcelona - Spain (3 days working from the office and 2 days working from home).

AsSenior ManagerHealth Equityyou will play a pivotal role inimplementingour Health Equity strategyand developingprogrammesaligned with our disease area prioritiesthat bridge healthcare gapsfor underserved patients;promote healthierbehavioursenablingearly disease detection and improvingaccess tocare.

This role is criticalin bringingto life howAstraZenecaiscontributing to better moreequitablehealth outcomes for societies across the globe.Thisrole requires a self-starter who is experienced in andengergisedbypublic private partnershipsandimplementinghigh-qualityprogrammesthrough hands-on deliveryat Global and country level.The ideal candidate willpossessa strong background in public health government affairs healthcare policy and strategic programme management with a passion for advancing health equity within the pharmaceutical industry.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support implementation of health equityprogrammesacross AstraZenecas disease area priorities beginning with lung health equity in diversegeographiesin line with AstraZenecashealth equitystrategycollaboratingwith global and localpartnersandAstraZenecacountry teamstodeliver against sharedobjectives.

  • Manage internal and external partners to ensuretimelydelivery ofkey activities.

  • Support the delivery of external expert consultationsincluding patient advocacy and clinical leaders working in close partnership with LegalComplianceandcountryteams to ensure compliant high-quality external engagement.

  • Support development ofglobalpolicyevidenceframeworksrelated to AstraZenecas health equityprogrammesand enable countries to adopt outcome-focusedhealth equityimpact metricsacrossprogrammes.

  • Support elevation ofAstraZenecas health equityprogrammesinternally and externally through coordinated multichannel communications working in partnership withGlobal Corporate Affairs colleagues.

Your ability toestablishstrong trusted partnerships with a variety of external and internal stakeholdersand manage competing priorities often to tight and competing deadlineswill be key to success.

Youwillhave knowledge of how health systems workand how healthcare isdelivered andwill be excited toyour insightstothe role.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in relevantfieldis.

Experience

  • Proven experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sectorin anin-house oragency rolewith a focus on reducing health disparities improving access to caregovernmentengagementand/or health policies.

  • Experience ofdeliveringsuccessful multi-partner multi-yearprojectsand strategiesacrossdiverse markets(e.g.high income LMIC)with demonstrablepatient impact and outcomes

  • Understanding ofdiversehealthcare systemsandhow to drive healthcare policy change at country-level.

  • Goodunderstanding ofhealthcareindustry including market access and policy development.Disease/TherapyArea experience is a strong plus.

Skills and competencies

  • Passion for advancing health equityandhealthcare policy change to improve patient outcomes.

  • Strong project management experience including planning execution and stakeholdermanagement in a matrix environment.

  • Expertisein strategic planning processes tools and methodologies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills capable of influencing and engaging stakeholders at all levels.

  • Ability toanalysecomplex data and use insights to inform decision-making andprogrammedevelopment.

  • Demonstrated ability in deliveringexecutive-level presentations and materials to a high professional standard.

  • International experience with knowledge of and experience of working across geographic and cultural boundaries including cultural sensitivity and effectiveness in virtual team.

  • Self-starting independent entrepreneurial attitude a smart risk-taker who thrives on new challenges and on seeing things through to completion.

  • Management of budgets and external agency teams.

In Office Requirement

When we put unexpected teams in the same room we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing -person working gives us the platform we need to connect work atpaceand challenge perceptions.Thatswhy we work on average a minimum of three days per week from the office. But thatdoesntmeanwerenot flexible. We balance the expectation of being in the office while respecting individual flexibility.
