Responsibilities

Works within art direction guidelines.

Creates complex artistically appealing hairstyles grooms & surfacing for:

- human characters

- furry creatures

- featheredcharacters

- props and elements

Keepsup on current artistic methodologiesand ontechnology trends and tools that best suit the production and the company in the development of a stronger creative and technicalenvironment.

Getsinvolvedin the development of departmental tools and techniques.

Workswithin the established pipeline.

Works together with the teamproviding them withsupportguidanceand instructionin areas that contribute towards their artistic and professional growth.

Follows supervisors and leads guidance.

Worksclosely with production to ensure the desired work is delivered and that deadlines aremet.

Has the ability to perform multiple tasks set priorities and problemsolve.

Requirements

5 years in VFX or animation industries.

3 years in the animation industry

Must have a good understanding of the processes of grooming surfacing rendering simulation.

Ability to consistently producehigh qualitygrooms anddeliveringon schedule.

Strong knowledge of Houdini.

Depth of knowledge in groom & surfacing tools renderers (Houdini MayaxGen Yeti Shave and Haircut Mari SubstanceArnoldorRenderman).

Knowledge of CFX and simulation toolsa plus(nhair carbon vellum).

Knowledge of Python or C/C programming VEX and Houdini HDA creation is a plus.

High English level desirable.

Spanishdesirable.
