Senior Financial Analyst, Worldwide Operations Security Finance, STEP Finance

The WWOS Finance team supports Worldwide Operations Security (WWOS) organization is dedicated on driving the Amazon flywheel. As part of the team you will provide primary support to the WWOS leadership team to validation of project analysis CAPEX methodologies support directors in strategic alliance across the field network and deliver analysis to identify opportunities and benefits impacting OPEX or CAPEX execution across Amazon Network

WWOS Finance seeks a Sr. Financial Analyst to provide primary support to the overall Amazon cost structure and deliver financial insight on strategic investments to Senior Leadership. This role collaborates closely with a broad range of global finance and business leaders across Procurement Field Compliance Risk and Insurance and Operations teams. The role also partners with stakeholders across technical project and security teams as well as FP&A. This role involves collecting analyzing and managing quantitative data and creating meaningful reports to track investment spend and program performance related to business improvement and cost reductions across the global supply chain. This role also maintains spend and savings measurements and partners with stakeholders on the strategic input drivers that continuously improve the scalability efficiency and returns of program execution.

Key job responsibilities
Use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models interpret data draw conclusions and make recommendations that deliver results drive improvements and influence leaders throughout Amazon. These decisions can have global impact.

Deliver weekly/monthly financial close.

Use financial systems and advanced Excel functions to work with large data sets. Outputs plans forecasts budgets and consolidations.

Create effective business partnerships manage competing priorities and provide guidance based on data analysis during unexpected events

Use active listening skills intuitively to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear concise and unambiguous manner. Adjust style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly.

Collect and analyze quantitative data to develop relevant reports that drive cost reductions.

Seek and leverage diverse perspectives in all activities.

Identify opportunities to resolve defects proactively. Improve scale or simplify finance tools across teams and organizations.

- Bachelors degree in BI finance engineering statistics computer science mathematics finance or equivalent quantitative field or experience in relevant finance roles
- Experience in forecasting budgeting variance analysis and interpreting financial results
- Experience using financial models KPIs and data analysis to inform business decisions with proven business impact (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits)
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results

- Masters degree (MBA or related discipline)
- Experience with data analytics platforms (Power BI Python SQL Tableau)
- Experience making strategic business decisions and managing internal relationships or experience working with stakeholders
- Experience working in a large team or fast-paced corporate environment
- Experience troubleshooting problems and offering solutions to streamline complex challenges
