Description

The Role

We are looking for a Railway Inspector with 35 years of experience in rolling stock projects to support inspection testing commissioning vehicle acceptance and warranty management activities.

In this role you will work closely with manufacturers operators and project teams to ensure railway vehicles are delivered safely efficiently and in compliance with contractual requirements technical specifications and applicable railway standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections during the manufacturing assembly integration and commissioning phases of railway vehicles.
  • Witness and verify static dynamic functional and performance tests.
  • Support commissioning acceptance and entry-into-service activities.
  • Review inspection records test reports technical documentation and non-conformity reports.
  • Verify compliance with project specifications quality plans industry standards and contractual obligations.
  • Monitor and track defects punch-list items and corrective actions through to closure.
  • Support vehicle handover and acceptance processes.
  • Coordinate warranty-related activities between manufacturers operators and maintenance organizations.
  • Monitor warranty KPIs investigate technical issues and facilitate timely resolution of outstanding actions.
  • Prepare clear accurate and professional technical reports.
  • Participate in technical meetings presenting findings recommendations and progress updates.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For :

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Industrial Engineering Railway Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 35 years of experience in railway rolling stock projects.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Rolling stock manufacturing
    • Testing and commissioning
    • Maintenance
    • Quality assurance
    • Technical inspection
  • Working knowledge of railway systems including:
    • Traction systems
    • Braking systems
    • Door systems
    • HVAC systems
    • TCMS
    • Communication systems
    • Onboard equipment
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings specifications inspection procedures and test documentation.
  • Strong technical reporting communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel based on project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting rolling stock warranty management activities.
  • Knowledge of European railway regulations Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSIs) EN standards and vehicle authorization processes.
  • Professional certifications related to quality inspection auditing or railway systems.
